It came as no surprise Tuesday, Jan. 20, that the Glencoe City Council is still focused on water issues as Gary Schreifels, public works director for water and wastewater, reported on a sewer-cleaning project and the city’s annual report to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) about the Glencoe’s inflow and infiltration (I&I) efforts.
Schreifels said the city plans to clean out 6,560 linear feet of the north trunk sewer line that runs near the high school and then south along Morningside Avenue to the wastewater treatment plant.
