The city of Brownton has heard back from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development program on its preliminary engineering report for a proposed street and utility improvement project, which could cost up to $8 million.
John Rodeberg, an engineer with Short Elliott Hendrickson (SEH), told the City Council at its Dec. 8 meeting that he had expected to get comments back from the USDA within 30 days of submitting the report.
