Glencoe-Silver Lake senior Kirsten Barott was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from AgStar Fund for Rural America, the corporate giving program for AgStar Financial Services. Students in AgStar’s 69-county service area were eligible if they plan to receive higher education to pursue careers in agriculture-related fields or come from a rural background. Barott plans to attend South Dakota State University, pursuing a degree in Agricultural Communications. She is the daughter of Curt and Teresa Bussler.
