The Kadlec farm has officially been declared a sesquicentennial farm by the the Minnesota Farm Bureau. The Minnesota Farm Bureau honors families who have owned their farms for at least 150 years, are at least 50 acres in size, and are currently involved in agricultural production.
The Kadlec farm, presently owned by Tony and Marata Kadlec and Tony’s parents, Jerry and Judy Kadlec, is 160 acres and located north of Highway 7 and just west of Swan Lake. It is bisected by the Luce Line State Trail, which runs through it from east to west.
