The Silver Lake City Council approved two repairs to the sanitary sewer and storm sewer systems at its meeting Monday.
PeopleService, Inc., conducted smoke testing of the systems in May, which led to the discovery of potential issues. After televising the systems, three cross connections between the sanitary sewer and storm sewers were found, meaning storm water is flowing into the sanitary sewer.
The televising also showed that there was a substantial blockage in the storm sewer with roots, rocks and other debris.
