The Silver Lake City held its annual truth-in-taxation hearing Monday night.
City Clerk Jon Jerabek presented the proposed 2018 city budget and levy to the council and members of the public in attendance.
The city’s total 2018 budget of $838,932 is a 9.56 percent increase over the 2017 budget of $765,728.
The levy was certified at $500,726, a 4.29 percent increase or $20,599, from 2017.
The increased budget includes a 2 percent cost-of-living increase for employees and 3.98 percent health insurance premium increase, as well provisions for the 2018 elections.
