
Imagine mashed Russet potatoes and gravy, stacked with a slice of fluffy white bread, shaved cutss of slow-roasted beef, topped with another slice of bread and slathered in more homemade gravy — the classic beef commercial.
It’s this hearty meal that brought WCCO-TV news crews out to Bump’s Restaurant last Wednesday to run a segment on the “best beef commercial in the state.”
“We didn’t even know we were in the running,” co-owner Mike McGuire said.
“People started asking me about it, and I saw on Facebook that you could vote for us,” co-owner Eileen Popelka added.
