McLeod County Commissioners voted 3-2 Tuesday morning to move forward with its proposed retrofit of Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), despite an expected increase in costs.
Commissioners Jon Christensen and Ron Shimanski voted against the proposal, both saying they were not comfortable with the new expected costs, which are nearly $1 million more than the preliminary budget.
Christensen said he likes the concept behind the proposal, but not with the anticipated cost.
