A solar panel “farm” may soon be located north of Lester Prairie along Highway 7, near Balow’s Auto Salvage, Inc., the McLeod County Board of Commissioners heard at its July 8 meeting.
Nathan Franzen, director of solar energy of Geronimo Energy, gave the Board an overview of the project, explaining that it is a statewide effort by Xcel Energy to provide additional electrical generation during peak hours.
