Winsted City Administrator Brad Martens approached the McLeod County Board regarding the solid waste agreement at its meeting last Tuesday, July 2.
Martens asked that the Board consider townships when discussing funding for the yard waste program.
Martens said his “biggest concern” with the 50/50 funding agreement between the county and cities is the “required commitment from the cities with no commitment from the county.”
“I’d really like to see where cities can budget for this,” Martens said.
