The Stewart City Council will go back to the table on its recently adopted rental unit inspection ordinance.
The City Council continued to hear appeals of the results of inspections at its Monday night meeting, including one from Mayor Jason Peirce.
Peirce recused himself from his role as mayor and went to the other side of the table, where he took the Council to task for the enforcement of the ordinance.
Peirce said the ordinance unfairly puts rental property into a different category than privately owned residences.
