After closing its public hearing on the 2015 tax levy and budget Monday night, the Glencoe City Council debated what kind of raise it will give its city employees.
City Administrator Mark Larson said the preliminary budget approved in September had a built-in 3 percent raise for city workers, but he recommended a 2.5 percent raise instead.
Mayor Randy Wilson felt a 2 percent raise was better for the budget, but Council Member John Schrupp argued that the 3 percent raise was warranted.
