The McLeod County Highway Department is hoping to get better bids by planning projects in the area of the Highway 15 reconstruction planned this summer between Highway 212 near Brownton and Winthrop.
The McLeod County Board considered — and adopted — a new five-year highway and bridge plan at its Feb. 17 meeting.
The county is planning to spend about $1.9 million to reclaim and put bituminous surface on County State Highway (CSAH) 17 from CSAH 7, south of Stewart, to Highway 15, and then from Highway 15 to the eastern county line near New Auburn.
