The Glencoe City Council discussed replacement of its sewer jetter and a tractor for the streets and parks department at its Monday night meeting.
Gary Schreifels, public works director for water and wastewater, was first to the podium to discuss replacing a 27-year-old jetter — an expensive piece of equipment that most cities need to have on-hand at all times to clear any obstructions in the city’s underground pipes. The jetter is imperative to the operation of sewer and storm water management for the town.
