A 50-year-old Stewart man was killed Friday morning, Sept. 28, when a car hit his vehicle after he crossed into oncoming traffic on County Road 7 in Collins Township.
The two-vehicle crash near the intersection of County Road 7 and Yacht Avenue just north of Stewart occurred when a 2001 silver Pontiac sedan, driven by David Paul Pfeiler, 50, from Stewart, was traveling southbound on the county road, crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a 2001 Mazda Protégé sedan driven by 38-year-old Jeremy Myrick of Stewart.
