After years of studies, complaints, flooding and fits and starts on finding solutions, another effort is being put together to address the west ditch system in Glencoe, now called the Marsh Water Project.
This time, the Buffalo Creek Watershed District (BCWD) is getting actively involved to try help address what is going into Buffalo Creek from the west ditch watershed that encompasses a large area north and west of Glencoe.
Much of the watershed lies outside of the city limits of Glencoe, but some of the ditch runs through the west end of the city.
