The McLeod County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved an amendment to the Hutchinson Joint Planning Area ordinance that will allow feedlots within a half-mile of Hutchinson and neighbors, provided a conditional use permit is approved to allow the feedlot.
Original language in the ordinance stated that no new feedlots would be allowed within the joint planning area, which surrounds the city of Hutchinson.
